Missing Diver Found Dead in Fasht Al Adham, Bahrain
A 52 year old diver who went missing while diving in waters east of Bahrain has been found dead following an intensive search operation, according to Bahrain’s Coast Guard.
The diver was reported missing on Thursday, August 27, while diving in an eastern marine area of the Kingdom. Authorities initially said he had been diving with other people when he disappeared.
Following the report, the Coast Guard launched a search involving marine patrols, its diving team and Bahrain Police Aviation.
The Coast Guard later confirmed that the missing diver had been located dead in the Fasht Al Adham area after the search operation. The man was identified by authorities only as being 52 years old.
Authorities said the necessary legal procedures had been carried out following the recovery.
Circumstances Remain Unclear
No information has so far been officially released explaining how the diver became separated or went missing.
Authorities have also not publicly provided details regarding the type of diving being conducted, the depth of the dive, environmental conditions at the time, the diver’s equipment or experience, or any medical findings that could establish the cause of death.
For this reason, it would be premature to attribute the fatality to any specific diving, environmental, equipment or medical factor.
